The Dreamers is a well written, especially well researched, story of a young man in Vienna who encounters some very real, yet flawed, young women. He knows his history, and his Vienna. He is away from his (deceased) father and his (controlling) mother. He is on the dole (from a Harvard foundation) and he knows he is. Nevertheless, and in spite of all these obstacles (furthermore, he has a terminal disease) he has heart. I loved this book. My wife has told me that if you enjoy a book, it is because you care about the characters. I cared about the protagonist; I cared about his girlfriend and her son. I liked this book.
