Preparing to save Crosslyn Rise, the family home, Jessica Crosslyn is dismayed when she learns that she must share the project with Carter Malloy, a man from her past whom she had hoped to forget. Reissue.
I just began reading Ms. Delinsky's books about a month ago. This book is the fourth one that I have read. She hasn't disappointed me yet. The dream is a house that needs saving. Help comes to the heroine in the form of a past enemy. In my opinion, the heroine is weak, but not in the sense that she can't take care of herself. She is just very insecure about how people (especially the hero)perceive her. The hero is strong, but the heroine brings out his sensitive side. They go together wonderfully. The book flows along quickly, and kept me interested from the very beginning. Descriptions of settings, characters and feelings of the characters are well done. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I was tired of waiting for the heroine to come around and just go for what the hero was offering. But it is a beautiful story and I recommend it to anyone.
