This touching book by Rumer Godden and illustrated by Pauline Baynes definitely belongs in the library of anyone, of any age, who loves dragons, or who just loves good books. The story is gentle and whimsical and, although its climax is heartbreaking, ultimately is a joyous and uplifting tale about the true nature of friendship and the importance of sharing. The book's beautiful black and white and full-color illustrations are done in a style delightfully suggestive of medieval tapestries. Do your best to find a copy of this book -- you will not be disappointed!
