The Little Mermaid #11: The Dolphins of Coral Cove

This book focuses on Ariel and her six older sisters, taking place before the original movie. Three of the sisters befriend a pod of dolphins, but when one of the dolphins is captured, Ariel has to help rescue him. Well-written, easy-to-understand plot is good for kids, but it is also a good read for adults too. The characters all have defined personalities, and their interactions with each other are fun and believable. There are also a couple of lovely black and white illustrations spaced throughout. Wonderful novel, although it might be a little more difficult to come by.
