This is a great addition to the Gingery series that shows you how to build additional tools for your machine shop that would otherwise cost several hundreds of dollars to buy. If you have bought any of Gingery's other books then I would definitely recommend this book also. It is full of many different accessories that you can build for your metal lathe and milling machine. The section in this book about cutting your own gears is more than enough reason to get this book! Any home shop that can accurately cut their own gears is capable of building just about anything. Great book!
a gem in the rough

I've read all of the books in Gingery's series, and I give the same review to all of them:An amazing testament to one man's creativity and hard work, and an inspiration to other budding machinists and tinkerers. The instructions are relatively easy to follow, but be aware that the production values (lay out, graphics, editting) are quite rough.
