Wow!

My husand read this book and I can say from a Mom's perspective it has made a positive impact on his role as Daddy w/ our 12 yr old daughter. My husband also attended Ed's weekend Conference this past month and it was amazing! If you ever get the chance to have Ed speak at your church...don't pass it up...your family w/ reap the rewards!

A great gift for Father's Day or a Dad's birthday

This book has several great features that come together to make it worth getting for a father that you know. First of all the author has a perfect background to attract men who care about developing their families and who follow typical American sports. Ed was an NFL lineman for three NFL teams (JETS, GIANTS and RAMS). More important than his NFL background, Ed is a pastor at the Stadium Vineyard in Anaheim California. The excellent blend of theology, contemporary worship and practical ministry that is typical of the Vineyard movement exudes through Ed's book as well. His stuff is practical, theologically sound and attractive for men. BTW-this book has over 200,000 copies in print now! I recommend you look up his youtube video called 'how to treat a girl' as a good primer on this book's topic. He will put wings to the soul of most men. It's a fast and fun read and will impact your thinking on why and how you should parent as a Dad. I recommend you get a copy. The only drawback is the paper on this book is newsprint. So the actual physical quality is not high, but in my book it's not the type of paper that matters as much as what is on the paper! This is a five star.
