The Deeper Christian Life

Binding completely broken due to bad packing. I used my librarian skills to tape it back together. Now I have to get glue to inject into the spine. This was BY NO MEANS in GOOD CONDITION. You guys have always done well, but you stubbed your toes big time on this book. ANYONE could tell this was packaged haphazardly.

This is a good book for any Christian who wants a deeper fellowship with God.

God wants us to have a deeper walk with Him through His Son Jesus. He wants us to have the Joy of the Lord. If you don't have Joy you are living in unbelief. God wants to bring us into His rest. We can triump over all circumstances if we have Jesus.

Murray's book is an excellent supplement to the Bible for helping a person experience a deeper walk with Christ.Among the important points Murray mentions include:1. Intimate fellowship with God starts with total surrender.2. We enjoy God's presence when we walk in faith and obedience.3. Our unbelief in God hinders His promises for us.4. A person becomes spiritual by God's grace.5. Do not limit God with your worry and anxiety.6. Let God work in you before you preach to others.7. Real confession and repentence leads to a deeper relationship with God.8. Do not be content with a low quality of life.Read and be encouraged to walk deeper with Christ!

Summary: For those who have tried to live a 'Christian' life in their own power. This book pulls back the veil and allows one to see that it is impossible to lead the christian life w/o the guidance and comfort of the Holy Spirit. Along with other titles such as 'Christians Guide to a Happy Life by Hannah Smith', 'They Found the Secret', and 'The Wonderful Spirit Filled Life by Dr. Charles F. Stanley' it has become clear to me that God wants us to succeed at this life. But, it is thru the guidance of the Holy Spirit that one begins to enjoy the Christian life.
