The Day the Eighth Grade Ran the School

With all the "teen" literature on the shelves these days that is appropriate for anyone BUT teen's, I can feel compfortable with my daughter reading these innocent fun books that talk about their every day life in a way they can relate to.

"The Day the Eighth Grade Ran the School" is an excellent book. The author of this book is Kate Kenyon. I can really connect with it because the eighth graders in this book want to run the school, and I've always wanted to run my school. Kate Kenyon really stretches her mind to bring her back to the eighth grade. She makes the charactors talk and act like eighth graders. that's whet makes her a great author. One of the reasons why I liked this book so much is because I relate to it and feel the same way as these kids felt. One of the parts in the book, "The Day the Eighth Grade Ran the School" really surprised me. It was the part when the teachers let the eighth graders actually be in charge of the whole school. They were the principal, a secretary, the nurse, and other faculty members. They realized that it wasn't that great. I would love to be in charge of the school for a day. I deffiantly recommend this book to all kids, of any age, because they can see what teachers go through and because "The Day the Eighth Grade ran the school is an excellent book!
