Excellent Read..

Jasmine Cresswell comes through again. I've lost track of all the books I've read from her and once again she doesn't disappoint. This book grabs you from the start and doesn't let you go. The fact that the story is so believable is what also makes this book so great. Definitely pick it up, you won't be disappointed.

Terrific!

This was my first read by Jasmine Cresswell. The story was wonderful and the characters were great. I felt so bad for Maggie and all that she had endured at such a young age. If I rate a book with 5 stars, it's because I can't put the book down. The story was excellent and suspenseful from beginning to end. That's my kind of book!

Incredible

This book grabbed from the first page. I really felt Maggie's anguish throughout this whole book. The characters were so well written, I almost forgot I was reading. I was half way into the book before it dawned on me how much of it I had read. The whole story is so believable. Kudos for Jasmine on this excellent and suspenseful story.

A real tear jerker, emotionally moving

The Colorado Springs community recognize Maggie Slade as a troubled teen, who, since her father tragically died, is into drugs and alcohol. In public, Maggie is constantly arguing with her mother, especially when the older Slade started up an affair with someone who wants his identity to remain a secret. However, when her mother is murdered, Maggie is convicted of the crime and sent to jail. Seven years into her sentencing, Maggie escapes into the underground world of those on the lam. Several more years have passed and Maggie still dreams of proving that her mother's secret lover is the culprit. In Florida, she meets former Colorado detective, Sean McLeod, whose attraction to her makes Maggie know it is time to skip town. However, this time fleeing is not so simple as Sean will not let her go. Instead, he decides to help her in her quest to discover the truth even if it means going up against a powerful force, who will do anything, including murder, to keep his tryst secret. THE DAUGHTER is an interesting romantic intrigue filled with two wonderful lead characters and an intriguing support cast. The fast-paced story line is occasionally distracted by flashbacks, but that technique also provides readers with clues to the real culprit's identity. Jasmine Cresswell provides readers with a top rate romantic suspense. Harriet Klausner
