DeRosso Less Dark

DeRosso does not write White-Hat Western Romances. His Westerns are dark and lonely, hard-boiled fiction for the Western addict. AND he does it better than anyone else, period. In a time when Westerns have become either Romance vehicles or Historical Novels with a few Western-type themes thrown in, DeRosso is a breath of ice-cold, mountain air. His short stories are marvelous. And while ".44" is his best novel, this is pretty damn good.
