A good story, fast and easy read, but the language was a little weak

Cody and Melissa are dating in Texas. She wants it to get serious, and he is basically enjoying being a flirt/minor playboy, so she decides to try to make him jealous as a ploy to get him to commit. This backfires, and Cody storms out of Texas for Montana. Cody comes back from Montana for a family funeral and discovers that Melissa gave birth to his daughter. He decides he wants to get married immediately, but Melissa is scared to trust him again. The characters are spunky, spirited, strong-willed, and easy to route for. The plot doesn't have many twists, but it is written well enough to be interesting. The book is just about the right length, as anticipation builds and the story does not feel like it was dragged out. The language is basic, but sometimes I just felt that the wrong word was used to describe the person/situation. There were also a few places that some additional editing would have been useful, but this is very minor and is not likely to affect one's enjoyment. I liked the book well enough that I read it, kept it for a few years and reread it. I won't be reading it a third time, so now I'll just donate it somewhere!
