The Cousins

I highly recommend this book. Interesting story with twists and turns.

There are 4 Story siblings whose names all begin with the letter A. Between them, they have 3 children who are all in the summer before their senior year of high school. The wealthy father of the 4 siblings passed away about 25 years ago, and their mother disinherited all 4 children more than 20 years ago, and they don't know why. After the 3 children, Milly, Jonah, and Aubrey, are on summer break, the 3 grandchildren are all summoned to Gull Cove Island by the grandmother they have never met. The parents force the children to go to try to get in their grandmother's good graces so that perhaps they will get a share of the Story wealth. When the children arrive, they need to get acquainted with each other as it has been many years since they have seen each other. They work on the island where their grandmother owns a lot of the town and try to find out why their parents were disinherited with no explanation. The 3 form a great bond, and all sorts of information is found, and a real mystery is solved. This is a good read but very confusing with all 4 siblings having names that start with the letter A and trying to remember which child belongs to who. To make it even more confusing, the chapters go back and forth from each of the 3 children plus Milly's mom. There is a family tree in the front of the book and I referred to it often. I couldn't say more about the story without giving away spoilers, but it's a good exciting read once you get beyond all the confusing relationships.
