The Complete Book of Time & Money, Grades K - 2

My five year old granddaughter wanted me to buy her a watch. I told her that if she learns to tell time I will buy her a watch. Since she already knows how to tell time to the hour I bought her this book. I haven't seen her smile so brightly in a long time. The telling time section starts out telling the child about the parts of the clock (big hand, little hand) this quickly turns into little hour hand. Right from the beginning the child is excited with the cutting and pasting and coloring the big hand blue and the little hand red type of assignments. The money section does a good job of identifying the coin and counting the coin. The introduction of the cent sign immediately is wonderful as well. This is a sensational workbook for the money. When coupled with Money Bags a Coin value game children learn how to count money rather swiftly. As a homeschooling granny and tutor to many children I would highly recommend this book. I give this book 5 thumbs (stars) up.

I have used this book with learning disabled children and they really get it! The book breaks down each task sequentially and uses real money and time images.The book also teaches the language of money and time. This is what you need1

My 7 year old son decided he wanted to do this workbook without any interference from me. He refused to even let me check his work.I had my doubts, but he completed the book and gave it to me to look over, and he actually DID understand each exercise!It is all laid out in perfect little steps that aren't too hard. The very basic information is given to the child, so he or she never gets confused. I love this book and plan to teach all 6 of my children about time and money using nothing else. This is one of the best workbooks I have ever come across -- and I'm a homeschooler, and I've looked at plenty.I highly recommend this one!

Bright pictures, fun practice pages, but best of all the workbook moves slowly enough and has so many practice pages your child has a chance to master each new skill before moving on to the next. Many other workbooks move too quickly and don't have enough practice exercises for your child to truly master each skill presented. A rare find in workbooks. Excellent resource for home-schoolers or children who need additional practice at home. Book is divided into easy to use color coded sections for each skill, time to hour, time to half hour, counting by pennies, counting by nickels, etc.
