I had to buy a second copy of this book it is so good. I wore the other one out. The recipes use maple syrup and honey, no white sugar. I went to this restaurant when it was open and was so impressed by the desserts, I had to have the book.

This is a wonderful dessert book for those that think healthy. I have had this book for years and now I'm trying to find out-of-print copies for my friends that keep asking for recipes. While some of the recipes will taste very "healthy" there are many that would satisfy a true sweet tooth. The Almond Torte is very good as well as the Pumpkin Pie (I think that's a true vehicle for natural sweeteners!). My favorite recipe is the Tahini Sandwich Cookies. They're filling, satisfying, sweet and you can take them with you anywhere for a snack. There is also a non-dairy section of recipes. Give whole grains and natural sweeteners a try. You'll find they are used very well in this book.
