A "must-have" for any writer's reference shelf

I couldn't agree more with the other reviewer. This book should be a companion piece to Strunk's vital Elements of Style. Like "Elements," this is a small book that cuts right to the heart of each of its points. Highly recommended.
A handy reference

I keep this book around to answer any questions that "The Elements of Style" doesn't, though sometimes the two disagree. The author's explanations of various grammar principles are simple and concise, and its chapters on dialogue and perspectives are especially insightful. I've had my copy since college, seven years ago, and it's never been neglected.
