Max Haines books are always a good read of true stories. Since this is a Collected Works there are many stories to read. The price for this book was excellent which makes it cheaper to buy the Collected Works instead of each book it is comprised of.
He's an excellent author.

When I first picked up this book, it was at a used book store, and I just wanted something to catch my attention yet not bore me to death. Never have I thought an author could do such marvels. Max Haines way of writing is short yet descriptive. It leaves the readers the choice to read further on a victim, or offender on his or her own time. The stories are max 3 pages long, and keep me interested story after story. I have since bought his 5th installment and the first 3. I await his future installments for I would be very pleased to read them. I will not give you any details for it would definately ruin the nature of the book, but I will tell you, if you love crime books, but have difficulty focusing on books that are over 20 pages long, which needs to develop every character, than this book is for you. The crimes are fantastic, and the characters are developed just enough for you to understand who they really were yet leave something to the imagination. I rate this and his previous book 5 out of 5. The only disapointment is that some stories are repeated. I guess it's for those who didn't get to read his previous books. I wonder if he's coming out with any sexual predators? a book just about, sexual abuse, incest, pedophiles, and rape...? it would be a good installement and no other authors have done it yet...
