Had I not been given this book, I would never have chosen it... Somehow "Christian literature" was in my category of "never to read books," along with romance novels, horror fiction, and more than half of the NY Times bestsellers. What a big mistake I'd have made to have missed this book and Rev. Wilcock's other fiction. To slow down and experience another place, another time, another way of thinking... I loved the book,...

Set in the charming English countryside, the characters wrestle with day-to-day living - matters of faith, of love, of life.
