Church's Confession of Faith: Catholic Catechism for German Bishop's Conference Staff

Unlike The Catechism of the Catholic Church and Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma, this catechism gives very little focus to strict dogmatic statements, instead utilizing a gentler, more narrative style to explain the basic beliefs of Catholicism and how they ought to influence the way one chooses to live in the world. In other words, it is a far better catechism if you are interested in the essentials of the Catholic faith-- but it will not answer questions like "Why can't women be ordained?"
