The was a selection for a book club, and all in all, a wonderful read. Put us all in the Christmas mood. If only it were that easy to tackle family problems and come up with quick solutions. It stirred my imagnination, and we agreed that one of the perks of aging is that the hat can be passed on to the next family member. We should all have a Pearl in our lives..............

The Christmas Pearl If you're GRITS (Girls Raised in the South), you'll really understand the premise of this book. But it's a great, feel-good read for anyone who enjoys nostalgia and appreciates the wisdom that comes with age.
In the Tradition of Dickens
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 17 years ago
This wonderful story truly is in the Christmas story tradition Dickens set over a hundred years ago. The story contains a great message. There is a ghostly visitor. At the story's end hearts are changed and conflicts resolved. This is the first book I have read by Dorthea Benton Frank. It will not be the last! She is a great writer! I alos enjoyed Christmas Gifts, Christmas Voices--another Dickens-like story in a modern setting. Inspiring!
