Publisher Alex Stamos has never had any trouble attracting the opposite sex. At least, he didn't...until he gets named one of Chicago's most notorious womanizers Still, Alex has more important things... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Alex is a "charmer"--he uses his charms to seduce a woman then quickly tires of her. He is featured on a "smooth operator" website that warns women to stay away from him. I really enjoyed this book. Its tone is a bit darker and more serious than an average Blaze, but the heroine is very distinctive. She carries a secret which has affected her life and her attitude toward men and romance. I thought the hero could be a bit of a jerk--he's attracted to model types and then dumps them because they're not "serious" enough for him. Apparently he has to drive all the way to Wisconsin to find a woman who reads and enjoys the outdoors. Dumbass needs to buy a clue. Other than that, he is a good match for Tenley, the heroine--very caring and protective of a rather prickly character. This looks to be part of a "smooth operators" series by Blaze--another one by Kate Hoffmann will be coming out in April according to the Harlequin website. I'll definitely be checking it out.
