It's better than what I thought it would be and it's different than a devotional. It's a good one to take on the go . I usually don't buy paperback book's. I don’t have a review, but a question?? Is this version KJV, NKJV, NIV OR ESV? KJV is really hard for me to read... what is the nkjv like?

IF YOU WANT TO READ THE ENTIRE BIBLE IN A YEAR AND REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE READING THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU. STANLEY HAS LAID OUT THE BOOK PERFECTLY WHILE EXPLAINING SCRIPTURE AND HIS IDEAS ON HIS PRINCIPLES OF LIFE. IF I LIVED CLOSE TO ATLANTA I WOULD DEFINATELY JOIN HIS CHURCH. STANLEY IS AWESOME. BUY THE BOOK, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

This is exactly what I was looking for. There are explinations of verses and highlighted excerpts to think about. Just the right amount to read in an hour or less for each day of the year. A wonderful way to read and understand the bible.

I ordered this bible for my 23 year old daughter and she really enjoys it. She says that the devotions makes it so much easier to read the bible and that Dr. Stanley breaks each Chapter down so that she fully understands each passage.
