A very nice parable! Really enjoyed it.

To begin, as one reviewer pointed out, Robert Hudson does indeed know James Redfield; they collaborated together on The Celestine Prophecy and you can see my review of it there if you are so inclined. As to the book, it is a great story as well as a parable, which in case you've forgotten is: A simple story illustrating a moral or religious lesson. Which is great because there are not many of these being written (at least that I know of), but are sorely missed in today's society. In the same vein as literary classics like Moby Dick, The Scarlet Letter and The Old Man and the Sea, the reader gets to indulge in a little speculation as to what the underlying message is. For me, it was a story of a young man growing in mental maturity and self reliance, which translates into the deeper moral lesson everyone should learn as part of their own journey through life. Plus, the story itself is exciting, adventerous and well told (Everything the Celestine Prophecy is not). Lastly, it just so happens that I know Robert Hudson, so I could readily be accused of submitting this review out of an understood obligation; I can assure you however that this is not the case. I highly recommend it.

Another great book written so the layperson can understand.

After having met Robert on one of his trips to Fort Myers, FL, I was delighted to be in his company. His best friend, James Redfield, wrote Celestine Prophesy and it changed my life. I feel Robert's will do the same. His angst at the loss of his father at a very early age certainly guided the path of his life. He finally worked through his pain and wrote a very giving, worthwhile book to help others. I suggest it very highly for anyone who wants to learn to leave the pain behind and begin to live life as we were meant to -- with great joy!
