Oops...

Sadly, I have purchased my last by Daniel Silva. I have read every one of his books, including the Osbornes and Unlikely, but this one is far from his standard. There are gaps in reasonable logic, inconsistent character actions, and grotesquely false political characterizations. I am offended at the inauthentic description of American conservative politics and the (fictional but thinly veiled) falsified actions of President Trump. This book is a left wing political hatchet job with minimal redeeming qualities. No more Daniel Silva for me. As a staunch friend of Israel, I am surprised at the attack on and mischaracterization of Trump who moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem (promised for years but never done) and arranged diplomatic relations between Israel and several Arab countries (attempted by several US Presidents over decades, but never accomplished). Trump was a good friend to Israel (certainly better than the Obama/Biden crew), and Silva portrays Trump otherwise. Yes, I know what fiction is. I am also aware that fiction can convey attitude and opinion, sometimes more strongly than hard news. The Cellist supports American left wing politics that has exceeded long-standing American political and governmental norms and which is destroying American rights and freedoms. I find it intolerably repulsive. No more Silva for me!

Too Political

I am a huge fan of Mr Silva. Have read all of his books. I hope in the next one he stays away from the politics.

Terrible! political! .

I have read every one of his books and loved every one. This started out fine and developed into political s%==.He is entitled to his own political beliefs but I am not paying my good money for them .I will review his next book before buying.
