The Cat-Dogs

Like many others, I originally acquired this anthology at a scholastic book fair some 20+ years ago. Decided to re-read it as an adult, and holy cow, it REALLY holds up. These stories are excellent, and even scarier than I remember. 10/10, I would recommend this volume to anyone who appreciates a good horror tale.

I can not believe I found this after all these years. I remember being in 5th grade or so and borrowing this book from a friend. I remember one of the stories in particular stuck with me all this time, (I am now 24 years old)and it was the story about the stuffed animals that are alive and are put with a person their whole life. The ending to this story gave me nightmares for years, and to this day thinking of it gives me chills. I have to say, the only way I found this book again was because I remembered the cover, and I had a good idea the book was called cat dogs or something.. I know once I read this again it probably won't have the same affect on me, because I'm older and blah blah.. but my 5th grader self will always remember the softies story.
