Andrew Tillet's best friend, Sara Wiggins, is missing. She had first simply failed to return home from dancing school on time. A few minutes late turned into a few hours late. Andrew, his mother, and Mrs. Wiggins were extremely worried. They notified their good friend, Inspector Wyatt of Scotland Yard, and he and his men, as well as Andrew, began looking for clues in order to solve the mystery. They soon found out that Sara's friend, Maria, the daughter of the First Secretary of the Serbian embassy, had also not returned from dancing school and was missing. They then found out that the young king of Serbia was to be visiting England very soon, and it was known that there were those who would like to kill the king. Will Inspector Wyatt and Andrew figure out the answer to this puzzling mystery, capture the criminals, and save the innocent, and if so, will it be in time? I enjoyed reading this book. I'd have to say it's now one of my favorite books! I love reading mysteries, but especially when the answer is complex enough that it's very difficult and takes strategy in order to figure it out on your own. That's what this book was like. Some mysteries are challenging to discover the answer because the book doesn't give you enough clues to figure it out, but not this book! All the clues tied together in the end. This book was quite a page-turner. In fact, it was hard for me to put it down! It was also exciting, adventurous, and very suspenseful, qualities that I'm sure anyone would like in a book, but don't just take my word for it. See for yourself by opening up The Case of the Threatened King!
