#5 in series

Jonathan, Maggie, & Serena are working cases that are seemingly unrelated. Stride is still having problems from his accident & isn't dealing with it well while driving a wedge between him & Serena. A kidnapped child, farmland murders, & an emotionless surgeon with a handful of mistresses. Suspects & mystery intertwine while Stride tries to decipher why women are being murdered & their bodies are missing, Serena is trying to get to the bottom of the missing child case, & Maggie is burning both ends. Surprising revelations and twists & turns had me guessing through the entire book

Another Great Page Turner!

Brian Freeman has done it again. This book has so many twists and turns. It keeps you guessing until the very end and that ending is very surprising. I appreciate a mystery that is intriguing, not too terribly gory and one that I just can't wait to get back to. Now, I anxiously await the next book!

Tony Chen

If you enjoy Harlen Coben, you will like Brian Freemen. I was a Harlan Coban and Michael Connelly fan. I came across Brian Freeman's book "Striped" when I tried to search for a similar style mystery/suspense writer. I really enjoyed it Freeman's storytelling, suspense building, and plotting skill. I went back to read all Brian Freeman's books. They are all good. I definitely think Freeman is at least on par with Harlen Coban and Michael Connelly if not better even though he is less known. I think "The Burying Place" is the second best Freeman's book. I rank his book in the order: 1. In The Dark 2. The Burying Place 3. Stalked 4. Striped 5. Immoral

This series gets better and better

I really really enjoyed this book. I have read all of the books in this series, and honestly, if you have not read any books in this series, I think going back and starting from the beginning will make this last book better. The characters grow and change and develop with each book. I think I liked this book the best so far, there was a twist in the end, well actually a couple of twists in the story that I did not see coming. I read so many books, I love when there are twists that make me say "Wow, didn't see that coming". Overall great series. I look forward to the next book in this series, I am not done with these characters yet!

Another thriller from Brian Freeman

I have read all of Freeman's books and although they have the same characters in all of them, each is a fresh, new approach to suspense and terror. He takes the reader on a roller coaster ride of suspense right to the end of the book. His surprise endings take my breath away. He has a giant following on Facebook and is an international writer who makes one feel right in the scene every time. Highly recommend reading all of Brian's books, start with the first so you will follow the links of Stride and Serena, his main characters.

Thrilling page turner...

Brian Freeman at his best. Once you start reading better plan for an all nighter This is a thriller that you cant put down.
