The Brightwood Code

This was a rollercoaster ride! Both ion adventure and in emotion! I really like world war fiction stories. I just really appreciate how they shines a light on some of the key people who helped in the wars that the world knows nothing about. And phone call operators were instruments in the war I had no idea about. It was interesting to dive into the world of switch boards and how crucial it was to send messages. This book was a mystery to the main character and also the reader. As a reader you want to know what truly happened to Edda and you just keep rooting for her to find her peace. The story was a back and forth of the past and the present and I thought they navigated the story very well. This book definitely focused more on Edda and her story. It was as if the war was just part of her life. This was truly unique and emotional. It was a very pleasant read and I can't help but look back on the book as I write this review.
