The Bride's Instruction Manual: How to Survive and Possibly Even Enjoy the Biggest Day of Your Life

A good starting book for soon to be brides. It outlines everything from choosing the date, right down to how to seat your guests. Easy to read, pretty straight forward. I would definitely suggest getting this book before any other wedding books. It will make you aware of the steps you will be taking.

I just recently got engaged and it seems as though everyone feels the need to give me all kinds of books to read, all of which are exactly the same! They skipped around so much! How is someone suppose to plan a wedding when the damn book skips around so much! Lol! Unlike all the others, I love this book because not only was it easy to read, it was very informative and it wasn't "heavy" like most wedding books! I found myself laughing out loud to some parts! I love all of the pictures! I def recommend this book to every bride!!

Where was this manual when I was getting married? The clever and clear written explanations would have tabled many a sort-it-out discussion. I bought one for myself and then purchased three more -- one for each of my daughters. The emotional refereeing it will save my husband is worth the book's weight in gold.

I bought and the Groom's guide as an Engagement Party gift so I can't speak about the content of the books themselves. However, I can say that after flipping through them, I was very happy with the purchase. It's a soft cover book but the paper itself looks like it's quality paper ... the book includes color pictures and diagrams ... i just love this book. I think when my time comes to get married, I will want this book for myself :)

My fiance bought this book for me because we both loved the graphics, we liked that it was made by Philadelphians and he though it would make a cute gift. Well cute gift it was, and then I actually read it and have found it to be really helpful and have consulted it multiple times especially the sticky situations, bridesmaid sections, invitee selection and advice on dealing with family. Planning a wedding really does bring out all of these bizzaire sides of people you thought were normal. It is the only wedding book out of 3 that were given to me that I actually use (and kept) and I love it. I must have a very similar idea to what a wedding should be like as the author of this book. It has turned out to very practical in addition to pretty. I just ordered the Groom's Instruction Manual and I hope he enjoys his as much as I have mine.
