Mother and son review

My 4th grade son and I loved this book! It's a great read with lots of excitement and emotion. My son read it first and loved it so much I decided I wanted to read it. I had trouble putting it down. It's an absolute must for kids and adults.

Great Book!

The book was so good that I give it five stars. The book is about what happened at the Alamo through a twelve year old boy's point of view. I'm giving it five stars because it tells how Texas won its independence from Mexico and what the boy felt like at the battle. Another reason why this book deserves five stars is because it tells about Texas history in an exciting way. The last few chapters of this book tell who led Texas to victory at San Jacinto and if the boy, Billy, ever returned home. The last chapter of the book was my favorite. As I read the book it tells how Billy felt when the Mexicans poured over the walls of the Alamo. When reading the book there were some times when Billy was sad. Today there is only the chapel left from the battle, but in the book all of the walls of the Alamo were there. That is why I am giving this book five stars.

Great Book!

I gave the story 5 stars because what Billy did was brave. Also after all of that trouble Billy did trying to help out in the war. He should get 5 stars, too. The Boy in the Alamo was a great book for all kids and adults in the world. I think everybody should read it. It gives a lot of information on the Alamo and it is kind of like a history book to me. If you like the Alamo, then I think you will like this book a lot! After you read it, you should remember a lot of things from the Alamo. Trust me, if you like the Alamo, you will like The Boy in the Alamo!

Excellent for the classroom!

I teach 4th grade here in Texas, the grade level where we focus on Texas history. I've found this book to be priceless within our study of the Texas Revolution. Although not all the facts are accurate (since the book is historical fiction), the story itself draws my students into the events of the Alamo and the Texas Revolution. Our study of this book is one of the highlights of our studies, and the students absolutely love it. We read it every year!

good bo0k

I liked this book a lot. It really portrays the Alamo well and is better because it's told threw the eyes of a young boy
