Ignore all the reviews from the silly people below. "This is fake, I am a Wiccan and this isn't what it's like"....is this person joking? Wiccan is a very new religion and practice. I think cursing, spells and hexes a little predate 1950. As far as people expecting some how-to manual. Can I say, perhaps READ the description on the back? Good grief. It's a HISTORY....True tales from around the world. Not a how too for some do-gooder Wiccan. Now the book itself is actually EXCELLENT. A great gathering of facts and lore from everywhere. A little about it all thrown in here and there. I loved the detailed account of people with the evil eye and so many others. Family curses handed down. Gordon mixes in scepticism as well as belief with all he researches which to me is the best way to approach most anything. He reports, he ruminates....comtemplates. That's the way it should be. If you're looking for a history on these things, this is an excellent, engaging and well-written account of things more modern and far in the past.
Entering the magick
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 23 years ago
As stated in some of the reviews before mine this book does not contain any spells or actual magick. A few days ago i came across this book in an occult store. This book has made me want to know more about magick. This book is not intended to teach you how to be a good white/black magician, it's suppose to make you a believer and it's effective at that. It also states a wide range of how far some magick can go.
