Such an eye opener and I definitely see alot of those traits in myself I'm not afraid to admit it. I think women should also read this book because it's very knowledgeable and states so much truth about the behavioral problems we have in ourselves and for our black men. U can only change if ur willing to admit ur flaws and then be willing to work on them. Great book

I read this book several times and often refers back to certain passages. By no chance the book is a hundred percent accurate, nor is the bible for that matter. But sister Ali is a native of Philadelphia as well as I and the women she discuss are the majority here and possible all big cities. She teaches you the qualities to look for in a wife and discuss what men really want by all cost PEACE.

Unfortunately many people lash out at this book because it tells the truth. If they would read it with an open mind and a humble heart their opinions of it would be much different. As usual many women jump to the defensive instead of trying to take the contents to heart and change their self destructive and genocidal actions. Most of the examples she gave were ones that I have experienced (except for giving a open hand smack to a woman), however most women deny that these actions even exist in the least of them. The book was powerful and will be required reading for my daughters as they approach dating age.

I must preface my review by saying that it is in my estimation that only 80% of this book may be accurate (dead on.) I'm sure the Sistas' may not want to hear that, but no one wants to hear the truth about themselves. Especially when "said" truth is negative. I would like to applaud Ms. Ali for having enough courage and love for her race to lay it all out there, knowing the ridicule she would receive for providing such thought provoking insight into the minds of our women. She may be right when she says "Black Women's lack of respect for their men have helped in the undoing of the Black Nation." However, I think a lot of Black men out there leave a lot to be desired and need to step up and be MEN and handle their responsibilities. In other words...stop blaming the white men, slavery and racism for everything under the sun. I hope that the majority of women that read this book, read it with an open mind and introspection in order to determine how some of the characteristics of certain women Ms. Ali describes may be some of the same negative character traits within themselves. An individual cannot rectify a problem if they can't 1st identify the problem, secondly the causes of the problem, and lastly ALL of the symptoms of the problem. In conclusion, I don't buy into the idea of slapping some women in the mouth that may in fact warrant it. Another suggestion would be to leave her alone and find a woman you don't have to become physical with. Additionally, I have heard women say that men can't handle a strong Black Woman. I think it is just the opposite; Black Women can't handle a Strong Black Man who will not tolerate the level of disrespect that a lot (Not All) of Black Women exhibit towards their mates.Sincerely,A Strong Black Man

Oh Yeah...In Deed Read It Before She Does, Because, She DO NOT Want You To Know, That You Have A BluePrint To Her Every Action or Motive. This Is A MasterPiece. We Have Waited A Long Time For This. Truth Is Truth, For The Females That Rated This Book Low....Fella's They Dont Want Us To Know This Information, But Thanks To Shahrazad Ali, We Now Know It.

This book will open the eyes of every brother who reads it. Most readers who disagree with this book have never read the book. They have only read excerpts from the book. This book should be added to the bookshelf of every black man.
