Fun, Creative, Original Romp

Wullie and the rest of the dynamic characters in the Blackhope Scaur Trilogy are a real treat. The story is creative, the settings imaginative, and the narrative action-packed! Enjoy it!

Great Middle School Reading

Books that quickly engage young readers are a great find and this trilogy fills the bill. As a reading teacher, I know well written books with exciting plots are the key for reading incentive. This trilogy is truly exciting as it rushes from one adventure to another with wonderfully imaginative characters.

Wullie keeps us on the edge of our seats!

I'm a middle school teacher, and I read the first book in the Blackhope Scaur trilogy with my Advisory class, and then the author came to our school to do a talk! The kiddos (and I) were very engaged in the story. The slightly slapstick humor really appeals to the kids, and the adventures of Finley, Hadley, and Wullie kept us reading. I'm on the second book now, and I'm enjoying it just as much! I can't wait to see how the series concludes!

my kiddo loves Wullie

We got this trilogy from a friend. Right from the start, my seven year old was engaged, as was I. The story of Finn, Hadley and Wullie is a fun, often funny, story where good wins out over evil. We read all three books in a row because we were anxious to hear more about Wullie and his adventures. We hope the author writes more stories with Wullie and friends!

Great series for kids 8-13 - and for their parents

This trilogy is a real treat, with wonderful characters (clever, believable young pre-teens and adults). I particularly loved Wullie, the rude, resourceful, rambunctious Scottish rock creature who befriends the young heroes and regularly saves the day. I'm an adult, and all three books held me in thrall. My 9 year old grandson and I had a great time sharing favorite parts of the trilogy. Highly recommended for young readers and their parents and grandparents.
