My favorite book as a child. Beautifully written and the illustrations are also beautiful. I just started to read this to my 11 month old son and he enjoys it too

this is/was my daughter's favorite book as a child and mine too. we are personally fascinated with the moon and the rhyming and creative way this book is told is wonderful. every kid will love this book. when I ask my daughter now (she is 16) "what is your favorite book"? she answers without hesitation "The Birthday Moon"!!
A great Bedtime book

Slow and quite, a great book to put your little ones to sleep with. My three year old son loves to hear it! He curls up with his favorite blanket and falls right to sleep. An easy read. Highly recommend this book for any child.
