The Big Book of Wordoku Puzzles: Sudoku for Word Lovers

This Frank Longo book of Wordoku puzzles has spoiled me. The layout and variety are perfect! Some books squeeze so many puzzles on each page that they leave little room for notes to reach their solutions. The puzzles in this book are based on 8, 9, or 10 characters per line and are arranged in progressive levels of difficulty. Using letters instead of numbers or other characters provides an extra, interesting element. The word generated in the completed puzzle can show up in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line (and can help solve some puzzles!). It also serves as a slight prize of satisfaction for someone as nerdy as me. With 900 puzzles in each book, there is so much variety, that I have purchased several copies, figuring I wouldn’t remember solutions for so many. But perhaps I have completed them enough times that it would streamline my solving them at this point! Please, Mr. Longo, develop a Volume II to this masterpiece! And it would be nice for it to be printed in a spiral format!

This book has 8, 9 and 10-letter grids, which means there's something for every expertise level. My favorite is the 10-letter puzzles. The only drawback is that because of the size of the book, it eventually falls apart. The pages in the middle came out. I now carry stacks of pages rather than the entire book. The publisher should definitely consider making this a spiral bound book.

If you like sudoku but tired of the numbers I strongly suggest getting this book. It's the same fun as sudoku but with the added twist of finding words within the puzzle. Go ahead and try it. You won't be disappointed.
