Straight ahead Sci Fi and Fantasy

Good, solid Sci Fi and fantasy stories by established writers and a few new ones. Nothing startling or earth shattering. Traditional plots and recognizable characters make for very pleasant reading. I would give this book to someone who has been "getting into" sci fi lately and wonders what they should read next. This would be a good book to allow them to figure out which writers and what style attracts them the most. I liked it.
