Outstanding

this is a great novel about the American Civil War. Powerful and authentic, it deal with many issues that were present during the war. The characters are fully realized, and the situations gripping. What is incomprehensible is how the publisher allowed it to sink without a trace. This could have been a big seller, if not a best-seller, and is the kind of book that should be taught in our schools.
