The Bachman Books: Four Early Novels

Other reviews mention they got the wrong book, but I got mine, it includes Rage, and it's in great condition compared to some of the other books I've ordered from this app. I'm a die hard Stephen King fan and I'm over the moon with excitement 😊

Copy did not have Rage in it as stated.

The book was listed in “acceptable” condition but is absolutely falling apart. It still had the slip in it stating that a library pulled it from the shelves due to “condition”. The cover plastic is peeling back from the paper. It’s falling apart. And it’s clearly water damaged.

I read the reviews and knew buying from this seller was a gamble but at least a reasonably cheap one. I grew up with King, including his stint as Bachman, and have been filling in the holes of my book collection. As we all know, Rage is hard to find and at the listed price, I didn't think this edition would include it. The seller described the book as a complete collection, all four stories. It was a lie. Rage is missing. It is at least a Bachman book (looks like some buyers aren't even getting that) but don't expect to get Rage from this seller. Although you may get enraged if you buy from him :)

I received my book wanted with rage in it. I'm very happy to receive and read it. My mom is a big Stephen King reader. I got all her books of his.

The book got here faster than expected, it was wrapped in layers for protection and arrived in great condition. Very happy

I didn’t get the right book. In the description it says it includes Rage and it doesn’t. Do not buy! It’s a scam.

My copy didn’t have Rage in it! Very disappointed I wanted the book because it had a ‘banned book’ aspect.

The others below me have said they they did not receive their books, and I believe them and sympathies with them! However, I ordered this book and received what I paid for. I believe this was a temporary fluke. And it is now resolved. My copy of the Bachman books DOES have rage in it!

Sent the wrong book twice then told me they couldn’t fulfill the order

Unfortunately I didn’t get the book I ordered. I got sent something called “River of Ruin” by Jack DuBrul??? Not at all what I had paid for :/

I ordered the Bachman Books but I received a book called The Stargazey by Martha Grimes. Obviously not what I ordered.

Yes, mine had Rage in it! So hard to find a readable and affordable copy of. But...I finally found it!

Roadwork is an awesome story

The Bachman Books were a way for Stephen King to write a different style under a psuedonym. Under the Richard Bachman pen name, King has managed to paint a bleak but realistic world (unlike the supernatural landscape of 'Salem's Lot and The Stand)). Rage: This book is about a young teenager named Charlie Decker. He's like any ordinary kid but he has a problem. His childhood has turned him into an angry sociopath who's unable to cope with life and does the most drastic thing he could think of, he holds his Algebra class hostage. Let the mind games begin! Long Walk: In a futuristic America, a totalitarian government has taken over. To placate the population, a dictator known as The Major presides over a deadly game of endurance call The Long Walk. 100 teenage boys are selected to participate. The winner gets set up for life, the rest are left for dead. Roadwork: A hard working joe who's life is turned upside down when his home is selected for demolition. A sour relationship, a voice in his head and a new rifle make a terrible combination. When the fuzz come around that's when the fun begins. Running Man: Another bleak tale about a media and consumer driven society (sounds familiar). The growning have-nots are greatly out numbering the haves. One of the many have nots (Benjiman Richards) decides to help out his sick child and part-time prostitute wife by becoming a Free-Vee games contestant. Along the way, he learns and is tranformed into something he never thought he was capable of becoming. An awesome collection of short novels. I higly recommended this novel. You'll never regret it.
