Fun premise and a fun read

I love novella collections, and this one is cute. The premise is interesting and the four authors do a great job incorporating the theme of the book in their stories. A great way to spend a rainy afternoon or a few hours at the beach.

Four entertaining Novellas

Four young boys decide to start a club for guys who won't get married, at least until they're thirty years old. They put half of their allowances in a bank account, agreeing anyone who gets married before the deadline forfeits his share. However, as everyone knows, little boys grow up to be big boys and their attitude toward girls can change. . THE RESCUE by Kathleen Y'Barbo Adam Chambers was less than happy when Amy Foreman showed up in his rocker, on his porch. With less than two months to go until he reaches the magic age of thirty and the chance to collect his share of the Bachelor Club Fund, the last person he wants to see right now is the one woman he'd ever been willing to marry. Amy is on the run. Her Hollywood career has blossomed, she's billed as the next Grace Kelly, but there is a problem. Her business manager, Ed Moore has systematically looted her bank accounts, and threatens to tell everyone she has a drug problem and blew her own money to support it. Adam doesn't want to get involved with Amy again, but how can he turn away when she needs his help. More to the point, can a small town veterinarian and a famous movie star work out their differences? Will Adam be the first to break away from the Bachelor Club? STEALING HOME By Rhonda Gibson While Will Lovelace dated a lot of girls in college, he doesn't remember Charisma Diner. She's never forgotten him though, and the way he dated all of her friends but never looked at her. Will, a charter member of the Bachelor Club, never got serious about any girl. He figured he could play the field until he turned thirty. Charisma has been responsible for her young brother Joey, since their parents death. Her floral business keeps her busy, and she didn't realize how much she was neglecting Joey until he met Will at the ball diamond. She doesn't want Will in her life, but how can she deny a lonely little boy their friendship? Will is determined to remain single until he's thirty. It's not that he needs the Bachelor Club money; it's the principle of the thing. With only three of the club members left unmarried, does he really want to drop out? Unfortunately, he can't stop thinking about Charisma, but can he convince a woman who knows him only too well that he has changed? RIGHT FOR EACH OTHER By Bev Houston Isaac Brooks was the prankster of the Bachelor Club, but a terrible tragedy changed him forever. Prone to panic attacks, he doesn't do well in stressful situations. When he's mistaken for a contestant for the Right for Each Other Show, he finds himself on the set with a woman named Debbie, whom he's never seen before. Debbie whispers that his name is Anthony, and he's her fiancé. The real fiancé didn't show up and Isaac has been drafted. He tries to tell the truth, but no one will listen. Issac finds himself attracted, not to Debbie, but the Brook Hart, the show moderator. When Brook learns he was a false contender, she is upset. Isaac apologizes, but she isn't in a forgiving

The Bachelor Club

Years ago, four little boys decided they would never marry -- but now they've met the woman of their dreams. Will they be willing to give up their stakes in the club? This is a unique idea and a very quick read. I enjoyed all the stories in it.

A SUPER READ

I love to read Christian fiction and this is such a cute idea for a book. All the stories are very good but Rhonda Gibson's is the one that seemed the most real to me with her characters. I could just see in my mind's eye little Joey. Am not a huge fan of baseball but it bring back a wonderful memory of a baseball story with my parents. Thank you Rhonda and other ladies for such a super read.

Delightful Read

THE BACHELOR CLUB is a fun, delightful romance. Four young boys make a pact to not marry before they turn thirty, and they even back up their decision by putting in half their allowance. But young boys grow up, and icky girls take on a whole other look. When cupid's arrow finds its mark, each of the four men must decide what's more important--true romance or remaining true to The Bachelor Club. Pick up a copy of THE BACHELOR CLUB. You won't be disappointed!
