The Bachelor Club

I love novella collections, and this one is cute. The premise is interesting and the four authors do a great job incorporating the theme of the book in their stories. A great way to spend a rainy afternoon or a few hours at the beach.

Four young boys decide to start a club for guys who won't get married, at least until they're thirty years old. They put half of their allowances in a bank account, agreeing anyone who gets married before the deadline forfeits his share. However, as everyone knows, little boys grow up to be big boys and their attitude toward girls can change. . Debbie whispers that his name is Anthony, and he's her fiancé. The real fiancé didn't show up and Isaac has been drafted. He tries to tell the truth, but no one will listen. Issac finds himself attracted, not to Debbie, but the Brook Hart, the show moderator. When Brook learns he was a false contender, she is upset. Isaac apologizes, but she isn't in a forgiving

Years ago, four little boys decided they would never marry -- but now they've met the woman of their dreams. Will they be willing to give up their stakes in the club? This is a unique idea and a very quick read. I enjoyed all the stories in it.

I love to read Christian fiction and this is such a cute idea for a book. All the stories are very good but Rhonda Gibson's is the one that seemed the most real to me with her characters. I could just see in my mind's eye little Joey. Am not a huge fan of baseball but it bring back a wonderful memory of a baseball story with my parents. Thank you Rhonda and other ladies for such a super read.
