Excellent, colorful, fast-moving, very human characters

Maxwell (collaborators) series of mysteries starring "tough guy" Fiddler and his brainy former wife Fiora are among the most compelling and original around: colorful locations, fast-moving action, involving plots -- always a "good read" featuring fresh and very human characters, especially the wonderful "ex-husband and wife" team. Highly recommended, particularly THE ART OF SURVIVAL with its behind-the-scenes look at Santa Fe and the big bucks world of art dealers. It's too bad so few have been written, and that even fewer are still available in print. See one? Buy it!
