This book is an enjoyable, easy read. There are a lot of unique ideas to try for growing vegetables in your home. I tried several of the ideas put forth. Some worked real good, but others I had to modify slightly to make them work in my situation. I recommend that novices read some other books along with this one or get guidance from an experienced gardner. Some of the results seem a little exaggerated, but overall it will provoke some thought and may get those imaginative juices flowing.
