" Angela McGerr's practical volume on angels totally exceeded my expectations. At first glance I sort of expected a book of fluffy stories on how people received angelic guidance a la Touched by an Angel, and how it changed their life forever, but this was not the case. Instead, this beautiful book is chock-full of serious angel information, and how to call on them for help, so that they can help you improve the quality of your life and your own energy vibration, if you so choose. The book into divided into three parts that are color-coded and beautifully illustrated. The book is based on the angelic year, which traces the ancient symbol of the Wheel of Life. The first part of the book contains general advice from the angels and some good instructions on working with them. The angels' help is twofold, that is, they can help you with your Heart Quest (healing the physical self) and Soul Quest (growing spiritually). A great part about this is, the angelic year is undated, so you can work with it year-round. The second part of the book deals mostly with guardian angels - yes, you do have more than one! Based on your birth date, you can meet your personal guardian angel, your angel ruler of the day of the week you were born in (mine is Haniel- Friday), your zodiac ruler, your elemental guardian angel, and finally, your Quinary Star Angel. Included is a helpful CD, located on the inside of the front cover of the book that is designed to help you to contact your guardian angel, as well as aid with meditation, as outlined further in the book. This CD is an important part of the book, and I am glad that it was included. The last part of the book (and my favorite) deals with many other ways to work and contact angels and heighten/align our own vibration to theirs. We are introduced to various ways of healing our physical self, such as color healing with the chakras, that is very beneficial and helps us to align and open up to receive angelic guidance. McGerr included also, to my pleasant surprise, such tools as sacred geometry, and the five Platonic solids that are a great meditative tool for angels and reaching divinity in general. She even introduces the reader to Ascension, that is, existence on a higher level of vibration, to which all humanity should strive for. Even my field of study, the Quabbalistic Tree of Life is included in this angel book, with each of the Sephiroth spheres outlining the angel associated with it. Also, at the end of the book, McGerr included the Malachim angel alphabet and a list of angels and their key life-assisting attributes, in case you need help with a specific issue. As to the visual appeal of this book, that speaks for itself. A beautiful blue cover adorned with silver writing is visually appealing in general. The colored pages, corresponding to a particular angel and/or season come with gorgeous illustrations of the angels' symbols and their associated colors. All in all,
