Charming Amish Romance

The Amish Widow’s Rescue by Rachel J. Good is part of her Love and Promises series. Even though third in a series, this captivating book is easily read as a stand-alone story. Ms. Good knows how to craft characters who tug on the heartstrings, giving them realistic and relatable emotions and reactions. I loved each one of them! Grace, a young widow, wounded, scarred and filled with grief, guilt, and regret. Elijah, a bachelor who was abandoned as a young child and has sworn off women. Miriam, a young childless mother. Levi, the youngster who tells his Mamm, ‘Everybody has a daed. We need one.’ Their lives are intertwined and their stories draw the reader in right from the start. The romance between Grace and Elijah is fraught with tension-filled twists and turns which keeps the reader wondering if they will ever be able to get be able to give into the growing emotions they are feeling and express their love. This is a charming and heartwarming story and I will continue to look for more to read from this talented author. I received a complimentary copy of this book via CelebrateLit.
