Book Overview

Life, Alice McKinley feels, is just one big embarrassment. Here she is, about to be a teenager and she doesn't know how. It's worse for her than for anyone else, she believes, because she has no role... This description may be from another edition of this product.

This Book is Wonderful

For any girl who would like to jump into a good series, start with the Agony of Alice. It is so funny and I laughed through the whole book. Alice is trying to learn how to be a teenager, but since she doesn't have a mother, she's doing it all wrong-she pulls somebody's hair onstage, kicks a teacher's arm in the Halloween parade, and still can't buy a bra, to name a few embarrassing incidents. Also, I have been reading the other reviews of the Alice books and notice that quite a bit of them have been complaining about the sexual content. So, if you're wondering what age is appropriate and which isn't, I have a guideline: most girls that have done the Family Life course at school are mature enough for the Alice books, because the books don't really cover any more than what you learn in Family Life (in fact, sometimes Family Life is a lot worse). I loved this book and would recommend it to any preteen or teen girl.

A very good book

the book is a very good mixture of danger, adventure, and family life. it is also very acurate on the setting. I read this book at school, I must say it is one of the best books I read all year.very exciting!

A WONDERFUL BOOK!

This book is a wonderful thriller along with a little bit of mystery thrown in. If you like to sit on the edge of your seat and wait to see what happens next, then buy this book, for you will enjoy it for hours. When I first read this book I was enthralled and couldn't pull myself away from it. A definite "summer" reader, or any time of the year!

Impossible to Put DOWN!

This is the first book I've read from Bill Wallace and all I can say is that I couldn't put the book down it was literally impossible! I love books with cliff hangers but never like this, this book didn't really have any strong cliff hangers but I just had to find out what would happen next to S-A-M-M-Y and to Gary and Patricia and Dad! Great book Bill I am now looking for another one of your books because I trust that it is as good or better!
