There I stood, hiding next to the vending machines, disguised as a potted plant. I brushed the plastic leaves from my face and stared down the hallway toward the front double doors. Snow Cone always... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I loved this book so much, it was an easy read but had me laughing the whole way through. Hashbrown has a problem with the school bully and has to go to the 6th grade Mafia for protection. I bought this book because I met the author and he had my friend and I laughing so hard as he described the book I knew it would be funny. This book is perfect for kids in 3rd-6th grade, or for those of us how have not grown up yet.
Great read for my 6th grader, and funny for adults, too

This was a very funny, fast read. Sort of a "Junie B. Jones" for the older boy set. I laughed out loud plenty along with my 6th-grade son. But what I REALLY like about this book is that it isn't just jokes and silliness; there's a feel-good quality to it, based on life lessons such as loyalty and friendship. I highly recommend "Hashbrown Winters" to anyone with a son (or daughter) in the older elementary/middle-school reading category. Even the younger kids would enjoy it, especially if Mom or Dad were chuckling aloud while reading it to them. ;) I'm always on the lookout for great new books and series for my kids, and I was really pleased with this one. An easy 5 stars, and I hope to see more from the author. Keep 'em coming!

"The Adventures of Hashbrown Winters" was a very enjoyable, kid-friendly book in my opinion. Reminiscent of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, Hashbrown Winters was a hilarious book about the trials and tribulations of a fifth grade boy. Packed with funny nicknames and laugh-out-loud sequences, this book was great while staying within the realms of reality about fifth grade life. The realistic situation that Hashbrown is in and the whimsical means he uses to get rid of his problem will make you laugh, smile, and smirk while you follow Hashbrown and his funnily-named friends on his mission to "save his life" and survive fifth grade. -Kelly Hall, 12
