A real good yarn about the continuing pursuits of Skye Fargo. This time we find him in a completely different enviroment.Of all things,he's out of his habit of the mountains, plaines and desert. So what else is there for a Western? How about digging for a Pirates treasure on Galveston Island during a Hurricane? I've come across lots of storms and even blizzards in Westerns;but this is the first for a hurricane. With all the hurricanes this fall, and particularly Katrina and all the news stories,it wasn't difficult to picture what confronted Skye this time.I don't know if it was the wind or what;but Skye let the owlhoots get the better of him too much for compfortin this tale. How he managed to survive after being knocked unconscious and buried alive, shows he's still a force to be reckoned with. Definately one of the better ones in the series.

Skye Fargo runs afoul of a Texas hurricane in this book. Lots of fun, with a twisty plot and just enough humor. The Trailsman series is on a roll lately, and this is a very good entry by Jon Sharpe.
