Good for Tweens with a little scissoring

I bought this for a teenage grandchild, reviewed it and determined it was too young for her but just right for the 8-9 year olds with one exception. About 4 pages discuss sexual relations including oral sex. A razor blade near the spline took them out and I will give them to the parents to use or not as they see fit. The information wasn't very shocking but also not helpful at all.

Great gift for granddaughter!

This book is great for younger children even, since kids seem to be growing up at such a fast pace.(from my observations) From about age 9 on up this book would be a good guide for kids. I am going to order more of them to give to my other (several) grandchildren. I read the book before giving it to my granddaughter, just to make sure it wasn't something too hokey. It is simply good sense guide on how to treat others with respect and not be too "old-fashioned" or corny about it. Common courtesy is not so common anymore...so I appreciate this book and highly recommend it.

perfect for tweens

I thoughts the book was great for tweens. It reads easy but doesn't seem too young for someone 15. It teaches great social skills even with this high tec- world. Everyone could use a refresher course on manners.

Manners Matter

A concise, thorough guide for teens (and beyond!) on manners and why they are important. Nowadays many people think that manners are old fashioned. But the measure of a person in whatever walk of life is how they treat and communicate with the people around them whether classmates, friends, dates, family members or co-workers. I highly recommend this little book for teenagers as well as parents of young children who would do their youngsters a huge favor by teaching them good manners at an early age.
