This book is fantastic. It has great lesson ideas. I bought it for a college class but I will keep it through all my teaching years.
Not your typical textbook

I am currently a senior education major at Eastern Mennonite University in VA and this is the absolute best textbook I have ever used. Most of textbooks sit on the shelf and I skim them for needed class info. This particular textbook I have read every word and have gained so much knowledge. It is not written in the typical dry textbook language and is so easy to understand!
A GOOD BOOK that gives a good general description of HOW TO.

Teach high school English. No pictures or other fluff. Gives an example of an instructional unit, and guides the newby through putting one together. Based in research and actual teaching, and includes information to consider when teaching to ALL ability and cultural groups. Lots of information in a small package, and worth the read if you did not have to get this as your textbook.
