I have worked with children for over 20 years and am now going into teaching! I came across this book while student teaching. It's a great book filled with useful ideas. After you get rid of all your textbooks you will want to keep this book! It packs the experience of years of teaching into a neat litlle book. the comparison to the Chicken soups books is a poor one. I hope the first reviewer has a better attitude with their classroom!

This book is just wonderful for teachers and others who work with children (librarians, social workers, etc.). If you're a teacher, get it and keep it on your desk. When you find classroom life getting boring for your children, open the book and find something to liven it up! The book is full of reminders for adults, such as how to acknowledge children's presence/ideas/etc. and make them feel good about themselves and their work. I highly recommend this book- the benefits are well worth the small investment.
