Just a man bragging about his music taste for 300ish pages with subpar stories sprinkled in

Honestly, I think if you are around the same age as the author and enjoy the music/understand EVERY music reference he makes then this could be a quick and light read for you. Personally, I felt that the book was just a guy bragging about how cool he was, while still being the dorky kid, through his music taste and if you don't understand the references then it feels like you are unworthy of reading his book. Every single line has a song reference and overall would not recommend.
