A Great Book For Gonzaga Followers (Even If You Are Not From the Northwest)

I live in Arkansas. There are a number of followers of the Zags in Arkansas because of the way they play as a team historically and their somewhat underdog status. I would recommend this book to all of these people and anybody else interested because it is perfect in explaining some of the team's origins, but focusing mainly on the John Stockton Era to the time of the end of the book (2004). Mark Few has many supporters nationwide, so having a chapter about him is a must. I can use that chapter as proof as to why the University of Arkansas would never be able to entice him away from his dream job. I get asked that question often. The John Stockton chapter was very insightful and shone a new light on him that others, including myself, had not seen. The culture of the school and team was worth getting the book, also. Why is the university's basketball program having the success it is having? This book does a very good job explaining it.
Gonzaga Story

Great insight into the special culture developed by the basketball program at Gonzaga. Should be must-reading for any high school basket ball player moving on to college. A real throw back to the college sports programs of old.
